How to Rank in ChatGPT: A 9-Step LLM SEO Playbook for 2026

When someone asks ChatGPT "what's the best tool for X" and your product isn't in the answer, you didn't lose a ranking — you were never in the room. Step 3: Get Into the Lists ChatGPT Already Cites

Step 7: Structure Every Page for Machine Readers

The page-level mechanics that make content easy to lift into an answer: answer-first paragraphs (the conclusion in the first two sentences, then the reasoning), H2s phrased as the questions people ask, visible dates you actually update, schema markup, and clean HTML that renders without JavaScript acrobatics. Step 8: Publish Broadly Enough to Survive the Churn
